FAQ's

1. Click on Sign In in the upper right corner of the Law Enforcement Agency portal home page
2. Click on the Sign Up Now link
3. Be sure to enter your email address and then click on Send Verification Code
4. You will receive a verification code to the email address provided
5. Enter the code you received into the Verification Code field
6. Click on the Verify Code button
7. Enter a New Password (the password must contain a capital letter, number, and a special character)
8. Confirm the New Password
9. Enter your Surname (first name)
10. Enter your Given Name (last name)
11. Click on the Create button to complete creating your account

Once your account is completed you will be redirected to the Law Enforcement Agency portal home page where you can begin a new request.

1. Click on Sign In in the upper right corner of the Law Enforcement Agency portal home page
2. Click on the Forgot your password link that is above the Password field
3. Enter your email address and then click on Send Verification Code
4. You will receive a verification code to the email address provided
5. Enter the code you received into the Verification Code field
6. Click on the Verify Code button
7. Click on the Continue button to proceed
8. You should now be able to enter a New Password into the New Password and Confirm Password fields (the password must contain a capital letter, number, and a special character)
9. Click on the Continue button to complete the password change

Once the password change has been completed you will be taken back to the Sign In page to log into the Law Enforcement Agency portal.

1. Click on Sign In in the upper right corner of the Law Enforcement Agency portal home page
2. Enter your Email Address and Password into the corresponding fields on the Sign In page
3. Click on Sign In button
4. Click on the Submit Requests button
5. Select the type of request you are seeking
6. Verify your agency information then click Next
7. Complete the form
8. Click on Submit to submit your request
9. You will be redirected to the Submission confirmation page
10. You will receive an email to confirm your request was received.

2. Enter your Email Address and Password into the corresponding fields on the Sign In page
3. Click on Sign In button
4. Click on the View Requests button on the Home page
5. Locate your completed request listed under My Agency Record Requests
6. Click on the blue down arrow circle next to the "Date Created On" field to view a drop down menu
7. Select Download from the drop down menu
8. Your request will begin to automatically download to the local hard drive of your computer
9. You should see the filename appear in the lower left hand corner of your browser
10. Check the Downloads folder on your computer to locate your request

2. Enter your Email Address and Password into the corresponding fields on the Sign In page
3. Click on Sign In button
4. Click on the View Requests button on the Home page
5. Locate the record request listed under My Agency Record Requests
6. Review the "Status Reason" field
   • Submitted = Request has been received
   • In Progress = Request has been assigned
   • Canceled = Request has been canceled
   • Completed = Request has been completed and released

2. Enter your Email Address and Password into the corresponding fields on the Sign In page
3. Click on Sign In button
4. Click on the View Requests button on the Home page
5. Locate the request you would like to cancel listed under My Agency Record Requests
6. Click on the blue down arrow circle next to the "Date Created On" field to view a drop down menu
7. Select Cancel from the drop down menu
8. A pop-up will appear asking if you are sure you would like to cancel the request
9. Click Yes
10. You will receive an email confirming the cancellation for your request

1. NIC/Firearm background checks - 3 day turnaround
2. Name Checks - 5 to 7 days. If reports are needed from the individual's record, reports that are sensitive in nature (Homicide, Kidnap, Sexual Assaults, crimes against children) will need the case agents approval before release.
